เขียนโดย: ปรางทอง จิตรเจริญกุล เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กร องค์กรความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของเยอรมัน (GIZ) ประจำประเทศไทย เมื่อวันที่ 14 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2561 โครงการภาคเกษตรกรรม ภายใต้แผนงานความร่วมมือไทย-เยอรมัน ด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ หรือ Thai German Climate Programme (TGCP) – Agriculture project ร่วมมือกับกรมการข้าวของประเทศไทย จัดงานเสวนากระตุ้นพี่น้องเกษตรกรไทยผลิตข้าวภายใต้ภาวะโลกร้อน ครั้งที่ 2 ณ โรงแรมเจริญธานี จังหวัดขอนแก่น นายเกรียงไกร จันทร์เพ็ง จากจังหวัดอุบลราชธานี อดีตนักธุรกิจ และเกษตรกรผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการริเริ่มข้าวที่ดีขึ้นแห่งเอเชีย หรือเบรีย ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2560 ชักชวนเพื่อนเกษตรกรให้หันมาปลูกข้าวลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก นายเกรียงไกรแนะนำและส่งเสริมเกษตรกรมากกว่า 300 คนที่เข้าร่วมงานเสวนา ให้ลองหันมาปรับระดับหน้าดินให้เสมอกันด้วยแสงเลเซอร์ หรือ Laser Land Leveling ซึ่งตนตัดสินใจลองใช้เทคโนโลยีนี้กับแปลงนาของตนเองในอำเภอวารินชำราบเมื่อสี่ปีก่อน ตามคำแนะนำของเจ้าหน้าที่โครงการริเริ่มข้าวที่ดีขึ้นแห่งเอเชีย ซึ่งส่งผลให้มีผลผลิตเพิ่มขึ้นถึงร้อยละ 40 นายเกรียงไกรพบว่า การปรับหน้าดินไม่ได้ช่วยแค่เรื่องการปรับหน้าดินให้เท่ากันเท่านั้น แต่ยังช่วยให้เนื้อดินมีความชุ่มชื้นเหมาะสมต่อการปลูกข้าว …
